Fused tooth

This picture is of a male child.  His dad has the same fused tooth.  I will get a pic of his dad's tooth and put it up on the site here. This child has been referred to the orthodontist.  He is going to need early treatment.

Suppuration

This man had many sites of suppuration.  I actually got the best shot of this one.

Supernumerary Tooth

This woman has 3 premolars on the LR, The pic on the right shows it more.  We weren't able to take a FMX on her due to the fact that she had one taken 6 months prior, but we have requested her xrays and when we get them I will scan her PAs of this area. Ok, so what do we call this tooth?  29a?

Congenitally Missing Teeth

This is my daughter's pans.  One before ortho and one after.  If you notice she has congenitally missing teeth.  1, 16, 17, 18 and 31 are congenitally missing.  #13 also never developed properly.  She has since had "J" removed.  Tx options are to wait to see if #13 develops (which it looks the same way it did three years ago) or opt for removing 13 and having an implant placed there.  Orthodontist also stated there is a 50% chance she will need a gingival graft on lingual and facial of 22-27 when orthodontic tx is completed.

Her other xrays are here, before ortho:

The Reason to ALWAYS do an oral cancer screening on EVERY patient! This patient was referred out to the oral surgeon for a biopsy.  Test turned out negative but YOU NEVER KNOW! This patient used chewing tobacco and this was the area where he placed it.

If you have any pictures to share, please let me know by emailing me and I will add them to the site and credit you for your work! Email me at: amy@amyrdh.com Thanks in advance for your help in helping others!
